A pair of very handsome Victorian pine doors with large panels for glazing. The doors are currently painted and are very well made with gunstock stiles and mortise and tennon joints. The doors have very attractive panels for glazing, with arched panels at the top of each door. The centre of the doors have large rectangular panels and smaller panels below. Under the glazing panels there are solid panels with decorative mouldings. The doors are currently glazed but the glass DOES NOT meet with safety requirements and WILL BE REMOVED at no extra charge before purchaser collects. We can quote for glazing, please contact us for information and to discuss your requirements. The doors are painted but the paint has chips, marks and flaking and will therefore need stripping and refinishing. We can strip and prime the doors for an extra charge, please contact us for a quote. Most of the door hardware has been removed, apart from a small bolt on one inside face, and hardware will need to be supplied by purchaser. The doors are reclaimed antiques and therefore have some slight signs of wear. The doors are in good solid condition but there are some knocks, scuffs, small splits and chips as expected of reclaimed antiques. There is some slight shrinkage to the wood around the joints. The doors are very attractive and have a great deal of period charm. The doors are solid, very well made and very desirable items.
