A very handsome restored reclaimed oak front door with a rustic, country style appearance. The door has been stripped to bare wood, and has a lovely colour and character grain. The door has thick raised mouldings creating a vertical paneled effect. The door has a thick base rail and drip bar. The door is ready for finishing by purchaser, with perhaps a varnish, paint or wax, suitable for exterior use. The door also requires hardwear, to be supplied by purchaser. The door is reclaimed and has some signs of restoration and wear. One large panel has been replaced and is very slightly darker. There have been some very good quality repairs and patches to the door rails. There are some slight stains and discolouration left from cleaning. Some small marks and holes can be seen where original door hardware has been removed. The top of the door has a small knock. There are some wood knots and some small filled holes. The door is solid and heavy with great style, ideal for a cottage or period country home. The oak is of a fantastic quality and the door is a very desireable item.
