A very handsome Regency, Gothic style, pine glazed door. The wide stripped pine door is very well made with mortise and tenon joints and is suitable for internal or external use. The door has a very attractive design with beautiful Gothic style detailing with glazed arched panels above 6 rectangular glass panels. PLEASE NOTE: The glass thickness is below minimum safety requirements and the 6 rectangular panels are below the height where thinner glass is allowed. The lower panels would need to be replaced or a safety film applied. Please contact us for further information or for a quote for re-glazing. There are two solid raised and fielded panels below the glass. The door is antique and therefore has some slight signs of use and wear. The door has some holes and marks where hardware has been removed removed and there is an old draft excluding brush attached to one side. We can patch repair the door, if required, for an extra charge. Please contact us for further information and a quote. New hardware will need to be supplied by purchaser. One side of the base edge has some slight damage. The door has some filler and some of the glazing putty is missing. The door does have dampness from stripping and may need time to dry out. The door may be more suited to an oil or wax finish. There are some small knocks and scratches. The door is very heavy and well made and is a stunning example of Regency design. The door would be a striking addition to any home.
