FC0057 PRETTY VICTORIAN FIRE INSERT AND RECLAIMED PINE FIRE SURROUND

A very pretty small Victorian cast iron fire insert and pine fire surround, ideal for a bedroom or smaller reception room. The insert has a delicate design with circular borders and a flower motif on the smoke hood. The fire has the original, shaped, front bars. The insert is paired with a reclaimed pine fire surround. The surround has reeded detailing on the legs and there is a raised diamond shape on each side, under the mantel. The pine is stripped and ready for finishing by purchaser with a wax, oil or paint. The surround and insert are antique and have some signs of wear, as expected of reclaimed items. The iron has some scratches and marks. There is a crack to one of the front bars. The back has surface rust as expected. The pine surround has some surface cracks and small holes, especially to the mantel edge. Some splintering and wood knots. The insert is a lovely example of Victorian design and the insert and surround have a fantastic look that is ideal for a period property, adding character and charm to a home.
