A handsome and heavy, reclaimed, oak front door. The door has been stripped to bare wood and has a lovely colour and grain. The door is of a very good quality design, with mortise and tenon joints. The door comprises of thick rails and sides and the centre has a planked construction, secured at the back with ledge and braces. The door is ready for finishing by purchaser, with perhaps a varnish or wax, suitable for exterior use. The door requires hardware, to be supplied by purchaser. The door is very well made but is reclaimed and therefore has some slight signs of wear. There are some small knocks, chips and marks, especially to the edges. Some holes and marks where the door hardware was removed have been filled with a filler. There is some slight colour variation in the wood. The door height may need slight leveling. The door is solid, with great style, ideal for a cottage or country home. The oak is of a fantastic quality and the door is a very desirable item.
