FS0106 A LARGE ELEGANT ANTIQUE STONE FIRE SURROUND C.1930

Dimensions:

A very fine quality large stone fire surround dating to C.1930. The cast surround is light in colour with shell detailing within the stone. The fire has a Gothic style appearance with arched opening and carved border around the fire opening that ends with arrowhead detailing on each side. The fire is complete and in good condition with some signs of use and wear, as expected of reclaimed antiques. The fire has some knocks and chips, especially to the legs. The feet have some marks, stains and chips. Some scratches can be seen and there are some stains and discolouration to the stone, mainly to the crossbar and the feet. Please see pictures for condition details. The fire surround is a very elegant item that would add great period charm to a home and paired with a fire basket it would complete a hearth.
