W: 115.5cm (45.5")H: 127cm (50")

A pretty, reclaimed, Edwardian cast iron tiled combination fire for bedroom or reception room. The fire has a delicate Adam style design featuring swags, bows and urns. The fire opening is surrounded by intricate borders and there is a decorative wheat wreath on the canopy smoke hood.  The fire retains its original front bars and ash pan cover. The fire has 10 square green tiles on either side of the fire opening. The tiles are original and in good, solid condition. The iron has been blacked and polished and has a nice finish. There is a registered design number at the back, RD 491987, dating it to 1900-1909. The fire is in solid condition but has had some repairs and is perhaps suited to occasional or decorative use. The back has been replaced and there is a repair to the right-hand side of the fire. The fire has had a metal plate added where the lug was damaged. The repair is mainly visible at the back but can be seen from the front on close inspection. The right-hand lug is a metal replacement. The concrete fire brick has a large crack but is secure and stable. The front of the fire has some light scratches and casting marks. The back has surface rust as expected. There is some crazing to the tile glaze and there are some light knocks and marks. The fire is suited to occasional or decorative use. The fire has a very attractive appearance and is perfect for adding period charm to a home.
