A vintage, reclaimed antique porcelain sink that is paired with an antique reclaimed wooden stand. The Sink model is named “The Reginus” and is likely to date to 1930-1940. The sink has vintage metal taps with H and C letters stamped in to the tops. The sink is set into an antique wooden wash stand that has been converted to take a sink. The stand has been varnished or waxed but is fading and may need stripping and refinishing by purchaser to suit. The sink does overhang the washstand at the back and we could make a baton to cover this for an extra charge if required, please contact us for further details. The sink is solid and very well made but does have some signs of wear due to age. The sink glaze has some crazing and some small chips and knocks. The sink will need a heavy-duty cleaner to remove marks and limescale, especially around the plug hole, please see pictures for details. There are some cracks, discoloration and stains to the shelf at the bottom of the sink stand. The taps have some light tarnish and patina. The sink has a fantastic period look and would be ideal for adding character and charm to a bathroom or cloakroom.
