An ornate, antique, reclaimed late Victorian cast iron fire insert with fire brick and fire stool. The fire has a very pretty design, typical of the era, with a sunflower on each leg, decorative scrolls and flowers on the canopy smoke hood and an oval motif in the centre of the crossbar with a flower design. The fire retains its original, shaped, front bars and the fire has an ashpan cover. Please note the ashpan cover has a slight gap between its top and the fire. The fire has 5 deep red tiles on either side of the fire opening with a pretty bow and flower design that runs down each set of 5 tiles. The fire has been blacked and polished and has a nice finish. The fire brick and fire stool are included in the price but if not required we can reduce the price by £95, please let us know before purchase if you do not wish to have these items. The fire is in good condition but has some signs of wear and age, as expected of antique items. The back and the underside of the fire stool have surface rust. There are some knocks and chips to the edges of the tiles but no major breaks. There is some staining and crazing to the tile enamel. The iron has some casting marks and light scratches. There have been some repairs made to the left-hand side of the fire next to the fire opening. Some screw heads are visible but they have been sprayed black to blend in. The fire has an abundance of style and is ideal for adding period charm to a home.

PLEASE NOTE: The fire is very heavy and will need more that 1 person to lift it. Please ensure you have a suitable vehicle and enough people for collection.
