A slim, reclaimed, Edwardian cast iron combination fireplace that is of an ideal size for a bedroom. The fire has a classic and simple design with a heavy border around the fire opening and a circular design on the crossbar. The fire has a small canopy smoke hood and the original, shaped, front bars are present. There are 2 original fixing lugs at the base for attaching the fire to the wall but the top lugs are replacements. The iron has been blacked and polished and has a lovely finish. The fire is in good condition but has some signs of age and use. The back has surface rust as expected. There are some casting marks, knocks and pitting and some small scratches and knocks. The concrete fire back has a large crack that goes through to the back of the brick. The top fixing lugs were missing and replacement metal lugs have been added. The fire has a classic appearance that would suit a period or more modern home and is a desirable and pretty item.
