A slim, reclaimed, Edwardian cast iron combination fireplace that is of an ideal size for a bedroom. The fire has a classic and simple design with a heavy border around the fire opening and a decorative design under the mantel. The original, shaped, front bars are present and the concrete fire back is intact. There are 2 fixing lugs for attaching the fire to the wall. The iron has been blacked and polished and has a lovely finish. The fire is in very good condition but has some signs of age and use. The back has surface rust as expected. There are some casting marks, knocks and pitting and some small scratches and knocks. The concrete fire back has some small knocks and chips. There is a small hole at the top of the mantel. There is a small gap between the fire and the base of the top plate. The petite fire has a classic appearance that would suit a period home and is a desirable antique item.
