An original antique reclaimed cast iron combination fireplace. The fire is likely to be late Victorian, C.1900. The fire is of an ideal size for a bedroom or smaller living room and has a very ornate design. The cross bar has repeated swags with circular detailing in-between. The legs have flowers and an urn with flowers at their base. The front bars are present which has a decorative finial and there are 2 fixing lugs at the top of the fire for attaching it to the wall. The iron has been blacked and polished and has a lovely finish. The fire is in very good, solid, condition but has some signs of age and use, as expected of antique items. The back has surface rust as expected. There are some casting marks, knocks and pitting and some small scratches. The top plate was missing and has been replaced with a metal one. The fire is a fine example of Victorian design and is a desirable item that would add character and charm to a home.
