A very beautiful, antique, reclaimed Art Nouveau cast iron tiled fire combination with fire brick and fire stool. The fire has an RD number on the back, RD668995, dating the fire to 1910-1919. The fire has a very pretty design, typical of the era, with flowers along the cross bar and an Art Nouveau design on the smoke hood. The fire retains its original, shaped, front bars. The fire has the very attractive, original blue tiles on either side of the fire opening that feature an Art Nouveau design. The fire has been blacked and polished and has a nice finish. A fire brick and reclaimed fire stool are included in the price but if not required we can reduce the price by £100, please let us know before purchase if you do not wish to have these items. The fire is in good condition but has some signs of wear and age, as expected of antique items. The back of the fire and the underside of the fire stool have surface rust as expected. There is crazing to the tile enamel and one tile has a crack. There are some small chips and scuffs to the tile edges. The iron has some casting marks and light scratches. Both fixing lugs were missing and new metal ones have been added. The smoke hood and front bars have been bolted in place. The fire is a wonderful example of Art Nouveau design and would add great character and period charm to a home.
