A very pretty reclaimed Victorian cast iron combination fireplace that is of the ideal size for a living or dining room or a larger bedroom. The fire has a registered design number, RD145562, dating the fire to 1890. The fire has a beautiful design, in the Adam style typical of the era, with an urn filled with flowers. The legs and crossbar have a reeded pattern. The rounded top plate has a fan motif. The fire retains the original decorative front bars and the fixing lugs on either side of the fire are present. The iron has been blacked and polished and has a lovely finish. The combination fire is in very good condition but has some signs of age, as expected of antique items. The back has surface rust. There are some small casting marks, pitting, small scratches and knocks. Some slight marks and tarnish to the inner grate and fire opening can be seen. There is a small chip to the fire brick. The fire is a charming example of Victorian design and is perfect for adding style to a period home.
