SOLD

Code: M1428

W: 360cm (141.7")H: 123cm (48.4")D: 23cm (9.1")

A set of 3 sections of Victorian railing set into heavy stone bases. The railings have a rustic appearance, illustrating their age, and comprise of thin iron railings with very sharp spiked finials and a strengthening crossbar. The railings have been set into very heavy and thick pale stone that has a weathered appearance. The railings are solid and useable but do have signs of age and weathering, as expected of their considerable age. The railings have some wear, erosion and weathering. The iron has surface rust, flaking and some of the railings have thinner areas from wear. Some of the crossbars have been cut and therefore have uneven ends. The stone has knocks, chips, scratches and uneven edges. There is a weathered look to the stone. There are slight height differences between the railings due to some of the railings sitting further in to the stone and therefore the crossbars do not line up neatly. One railing is loose as it overhangs the stone base and was taken out when the railings were removed from their original position. The railings have a very interesting period look and are useful, rare and decorative.

Full length of stone bases 342cm (approx)
