FB0059 PRETTY RECLAIMED ADAM STYLE REPRODUCTION CAST IRON FIRE BASKET

A very elegant reclaimed reproduction cast iron fire basket with integrated fire back. The fire basket has an Adam style appearance, favoured in the Victorian period, with a large decorative urn, swags and bows on the fire back. The basket has spiked sides and front with a hammered design to the iron. The front legs have large Fleur-de-Lys finials. The burning area is of a nice size and is perfect for a smaller hearth or for decoration in a bedroom. The iron has been blacked and polished and has a nice finish. The basket is in very good, usable, condition but has some small signs of use, as expected of reclaimed items. There are some small knocks and casting marks and some slight discoloration to the grill from use. The fire back has some pitting left from casting. Please see pictures for condition details. The basket has a fantastic decorative appearance that would suit a cottage, period or modern property and is a very desirable item.
