A very attractive, petite, reclaimed cast iron fire back. The fire back is a reproduction of period styles and is very decorative, featuring an Adam style urn in the centre and vines or acanthus style leaves that surround it. The fire back has a shaped top and a raised border around the edges. The fire back is perfect for pairing with a fire basket or grate. The iron has been blacked and polished and has a lovely finish. The fire back is solid and heavy but is reclaimed and therefore has some slight signs of use and wear. There are some casting marks and scratches to the front and there is some surface rust to the back. The front has some very small areas of surface rust. The fire back has a very pretty design, making it a desirable item that would add character and charm to a fireplace.
