A very attractive, reclaimed, Art Nouveau combination fire. The fire has a beautiful design, typical of the Art Nouveau era, with delicate flowers along the crossbar and a pretty design on the smoke hood. The legs have a scrolling leaf design. The fire retains its original top plate, grill and shaped front bars. The fire is of a good size for a living room or for decorative use in a bedroom. The fire has been blacked and polished and has a fantastic finish. The back of the fire has a registered design number along the crossbar and top plate. The top plate is more readable and states RD372087, dating it to between 1900 and 1909. The fire is in good antique condition but has some slight signs of age. The back has some surface rust. The front of the fire has some light scratches, knocks and casting marks. Slight tarnish and surface rust to the underside of the grill. The fire has a wonderful appearance, highlighting the best of Art Nouveau design, and would be ideal for adding period charm to a home.
