A petite, reclaimed, traditional style swans nest cast iron fire basket and fire dogs. The fire basket is solid and well made with traditional spiked finials and a swans nest shape. The basket sits upon two cast iron fire dogs with decorative scrolled finials and arch shaped feet. The basket is perfect for a smaller hearth or for decorative use in a bedroom and could be paired with a cast iron fire back. The iron has been blacked and polished and has a nice finish. The basket and fire dogs are in very good usable condition but have some small signs of use, as expected of reclaimed items. There are some small knocks, scratches and casting marks and some signs of use to the grill. Some patches of surface rust to the underside of the grill can be seen. Please see pictures for condition details. The basket's traditional elegance is ideal for both period and modern properties and is perfect for finishing a fireplace.
