DP0302 PAIR OF ANTIQUE STAINED GLASS SIDE LIGHTS / DOORS FOR WARDROBE

SOLD

Code: DP0302

A pair of reclaimed, antique, painted pine porch sidelights dating to the early 1900s. The sidelights have a lovely appearance, each with a raised and fielded panel and shelf and decorative apron. The top panels have a pretty arched shape and one door has retained the original stained glass panel with red flower and leaves surrounded by clear textured glass. The sidelights were used in a porch to frame an inner door and can be used for this purpose again or they would make fantastic wardrobe, pantry or cupboard doors. The doors currently have a letter box hole but we could quote to patch repair the hole for an extra charge. Please contact us for details. The sidelights are solid and useable but do have signs of use and some damage, as expected of reclaimed antiques. One door will need a stained glass panel as it is missing. The paint is flaking and chipping and the sidelights will need stripping and repainting. There is some damage to the edges of the doors and some chips out of the wood. The doors have some surface cracks and some knocks to the edges. There are some holes and marks left from the removal of a letter box plate. The door height may need very slight levelling. Please see pictures for condition details. The sidelights are very well made, versatile and have lovely period charm. Once finished, the doors will make a fantastic statement within the home.
