A large, elegant, reclaimed, Edwardian painted pine 9 panel front door. The door is very well made, heavy and solid and is currently painted dark blue on the external face and white on the interior face. The door has a very lovely design, typical of the era, with a shelf and decorative apron and three solid raised and fielded panels at the base. The top panels are a fantastic feature of the door and are fitted with beautiful antique stained glass. The glass has tulips and leaves in greens, oranges and pinks and the colour is clear and bright and the glass and leadwork is in good condition. The coloured glass is surrounded by rippled glass. The door has a space for a letter box plate and hardware is required, to be supplied by purchaser. The door is in good antique condition with some signs of wear and use, as expected. There are some holes and marks where hardware has been removed. We can patch repair holes for an extra charge, please contact us for details and a quote. The pine has some knocks, chips and light damage, especially to the edges.  The door width may need slight levelling. The paint is in reasonable condition but has some chips, marks and cracking and purchaser may wish to either touch up the paint or strip and re-paint the door to suit. The shelf has a knock and crack on the left hand side but it is fairly stable. The door still has its old door numbers. There is a thick metal pin attached to one side of the door. Please see pictures for condition details. The door is a fantastic example of Edwardian design and the stained glass is very pretty. The door is a desireable item that would add great period character to a home.
