A very handsome, reclaimed, Art Deco oak glazed front door dating to C.1920. The door is solid, heavy and very well made. The door has a fantastic design, typical of the era, with flat panels and raised mouldings in-between each. The top of the door has a leaded glass panel with rippled glass. The door has been varnished and this highlights the attractive wood grain. The door has a traditional style iron letter plate. The door does have escutcheons but purchaser will need to remove these and hardware will need to be added. The door is in good solid condition with some signs of use, as expected of reclaimed antiques. There is some slight colour variation in the varnish. The letter box plate has some surface rust, paint flaking and tarnish. The door has some small knocks and chips and a slight scoop near the escutcheon. The top and hinge edge have a thin baton. The weather strip has some slight damage to one edge. There are some holes where hardware has been removed. We can patch repair holes for an extra charge, please contact us for details and a quote. Measurements are provided minus the batons. Please see pictures for condition details. The door is a fantastic Art Deco item, with great style, and it would be perfect for adding character and period charm to a home.

Measurements exclude top and hinge edge baton.
