M1464 A VERY OLD RUSTIC RECLAIMED ELM BEAM FOR PROJECT

A very old, large, reclaimed elm beam. The beam has a fantastic rustic appearance that shows its considerable age and it has interesting characteristics and wear, as expected of reclaimed items. Two faces have been cut fairly flat and two faces have a more rustic appearance. As expected of reclaimed items there are some signs of wear. The beam has some splits and surface cracks but it is solid and stable. The are some notches, knocks and natural wear. Some cut marks can be seen and some pegs and cut outs from previous use. Some slight colour variation and blue staining. One side has a larger hole with some splitting and filler. The beam is extremely large and heavy and ideal for a rustic home project.
