An exceptionally decorative and pretty, reclaimed, Victorian cast iron combination fire. The fire has a stunning appearance with a domed smoke hood with delicate leaf design. The body of the fire has intricate designs with flowers in vases, swags and leaves running down the legs. The centre of the crossbar has a circular design with flowers. The fire opening has a decorative border and the fire retains its original, shaped, front bars. There are two lugs under the mantel for fixing the fire to the wall. The fire is of the perfect size for decorative use in a bedroom or for a smaller reception room. The iron has been blacked and polished and has a fantastic finish. The fire has a registered design number on the back, RD58060, dating the fire to 1886. The fire is in good reclaimed condition but has some signs of use and some slight damage, as expected of antique items. The back has some surface rust. The front of the fire has some light scratches, pitting and casting marks and there is some light tarnish and surface rust to the grill. The fire is stable but one of the small legs at the back of the fire is missing. There is a small gap between the left hand side of the fire, within the opening, and the concrete fire back where the corner has a small break in the iron.  Please see pictures for condition details. The fire has a stunning look, highlighting the very best of Victorian design, and would be ideal for adding character to a period home.
