A fantastic, original, Victorian stripped pine school bench. The bench is traditional in style, with a sturdy leg at each end. The bench has a lovely rustic / country appearance and the pine has been stripped and lightly sanded, ready for purchaser to finish as desired, with perhaps a wax or paint. The bench is long in size and is ideal for a hallway or boot room or could be paired with a long table. The pine has a a lovely colour and character wood grain. The bench is solid and useable but has some slight signs of use and age, as expected of antique items. There are some small marks, scratches and stains. There are a few notches and chips, especially to the base of the legs and edges. There are a few small filled holes and a filled gap on one edge. The metal braces on the inside of the legs have some slight surface rust. Please see pictures for condition details. The bench is perfect for a country home or cottage and has lovely, traditional, period style.
