A pair of elegant and very pretty antique stripped pine internal French doors. The doors are very finely made, with mortise and tenon joints, and date to the late Georgian or early Victorian period, C.1835 - 1840. The doors have a very attractive appearance, each featuring a recessed panel at the base and three further panels for glazing. The top edge of the top panels and bottom edge of the bottom panels for glazing have very pretty, shaped, detailing. We can glaze the doors for an extra charge, please contact us to discuss your requirements and for a quote. The wood has been stripped and is ready for purchaser to finish with a wax. Please note that the doors are not suitable for painting as there is some residue left from stripping them. The doors are in good antique condition but do have some signs of wear commensurate with age. There are holes and marks where door hardware has been removed. We can patch repair doors for an extra charge, if required. Please contact us for details. There are some small cracks and surface splits but they do not affect the structural integrity of the doors. There are some small knocks and chips, especially to the edges and corners. The base of the doors have a green stain and there is some staining left from the stripping of the wood. Some discolouration can be seen. Door heights may need slight levelling. Hardware will need to be supplied by purchaser. Please see pictures for condition details. The doors have a very beautiful appearance, illustrating fine Victorian craftmanship and would be a fantastic addition to the home.
