A large, elegant, reclaimed pine door likely to date to the late Victorian period, C.1890. The door is very tall, thick and well made and has an attractive design with gunstock detailing and can be used internally or externally. The door has two flat panels on the external face and the panels on the internal face are recessed and have mouldings surrounding them. The top half of the door has a large panel for glass. We can glaze the door for an extra charge, please contact us to discuss your requirements and for a quote. The door has been painted white but the paint is old, flaking and chipping and purchaser will need to strip and repaint the door to suit. The door is in solid reclaimed condition but some small repairs and finishing is needed. The base of the door is uneven and has some knocks and chips. We can trim the base and supply an oak baton to strengthen the door for an extra charge, please contact us for details. The door currently has a drip bar but it has a large crack and some knocks. The hinges will need replacing and hardware will need to be supplied by purchaser. There are some knocks and chips and there are some holes and marks where hardware has been removed. We can patch repair holes for an extra charge, please contact us for a quote. One panel on the internal face of the door has a textured finish and the other panel doesn't. The door has some small surface splits and cracks that do not affect the strength of the door. The door height and width may need slight levelling. Please see pictures for condition details. The door is of an impressive size and has an elegant Victorian design. The door, once repaired and finished, will add fantastic period charm to a home.
