A very attractive and unusually designed cast iron fire back. |The fire back has a fantastic design with a very decorative top with scrolling elements and Fleur-de-Lys style finials. The base of the fire back has a Gothic style arch and the centre has a circular design with intertwined lettering. The fire back is ideal for pairing with a fire basket or grill. The iron has been blacked and polished and it has a good colouration and finish. The fire back is in good reclaimed condition with some small signs of use and wear. The iron has some small knocks and scratches. There are some slightly uneven patches, marks and lines from casting. The back has some surface rust and tarnish. Please see pictures for condition details. The fire back has a wonderful, reproduction, period appearance and its highly decorative design is a rare find. The fire back has an abundance of character and would be a fantastic addition to a hearth.
