CS0053 A PAIR OF RECLAIMED STRIPPED PINE WAXED WINDOW SHUTTERS

Dimensions:

A pair of reclaimed stripped pine window shutters comprising of six leaves, with three to sit on one side and three on the other side. Each side is hinged together with brass hinges and the smaller leaves are designed to fold back behind the larger outer leaves that have mouldings around their recessed panels. The internal sides of the shutters have raised panels. There is a rebated edge so the shutters sit nicely together. The shutters have been stripped and then a waxed finish applied, giving a good colour that highlights the wood grain. The shutters are reclaimed and therefore have some signs of wear and age. There are some knocks and chips, especially to the edges and some slight separation to some joints, making one of the right hand top pieces loose. The shutters have some surface splits, scratches and some visible filler and residue paint. There is some slight colour variation in areas. The shutter heights may need slight levelling. One hinge is dark metal rather than brass. Please see pictures for condition details. The shutters have a lovely period style appearance and would make a fantastic addition to the home.
