A large, reclaimed, pine front door dating to C.1925. The door is solid and heavy and has a traditional style appearance with 6 raised and fielded panels, two over two over two. The door has been varnished, a dark tone on the external face and a lighter tone on the internal face. The varnish has wear, fading, chips and flakes, especially to the front face and purchaser may wish to sand and refinish the door to suit. The door has a letter box plate and the old door number is still attached. The door retains its lower lock and key but purchaser may wish to change this. The door also has a bolt and draft excluder brush on the inside face. The door is in solid reclaimed condition but it does have some signs of wear and age and some light damage. The door has some knocks, marks and chips. The panels have splits and gaps and one has been glued. The mouldings have some knocks and some of the panel and moulding edges are uneven. There is a wood knot hole on the internal face. There are some holes and marks where door hardware has been removed. We can patch repair holes for an extra charge, please contact us for details and a quote. Please see pictures for condition details. The door is a well made item and it would make a nice addition to a period home.
