A large antique reclaimed cast iron fire surround, dating to the early 20th Century. The surround has an industrial style appearance and was designed to go around an aga or range but could also frame a wood burner. We can cut the legs down in size to suit, included in the price, please contact us for details. The cast iron has been sprayed matt black but we can spray the fire surround white, if preferred, for an extra charge. Please contact us for details and a quote. The surround is simply designed, with plain corbels under the mantel. There are two fixing lugs, one on either side under the mantel, for attaching the surround to the wall. The fire surround is in good reclaimed condition with some slight signs of wear and use, as expected of antique items. The back of the fire surround has some surface rust. There are some small scratches and marks and one leg has some slight residue paint or a surface rust patch visible under the paint. There is a cut mark on the left hand side by the fixing lug but the lug is stable. Please see pictures for condition details. The fire surround is a well made and traditional style piece which would suit both period and modern properties.
