CS0066 PAIR OF RECLAIMED VICTORIAN PAINTED PINE WINDOW SHUTTERS

SOLD

Code: CS0066

Dimensions:

W: 119.5cm (47")H: 179.6cm (70.7")

A pair of large, reclaimed, Victorian painted pine window shutters comprising of four leaves, with two to sit on one side of the window and two on the other side. Each side is hinged together and the middle leaves are designed to fold back behind the outer leaves with the decorative beading. There is a rebated edge so the shutters sit nicely together when closed. The shutters have been painted with a white chalk paint but there are some stains, flaking and chips and the chalk paint leaves residue and purchaser may wish to sand and re-paint them to suit. The shutters are reclaimed and therefore have some signs of wear and age. The pine has some notches out of the wood, splintering, knocks and slight damage, especially to the edges and corners. The right hand top corner has some damage with a knock to the edge. There is some slight separation to some of the joints and some small holes. Some of the hinges are coming away from the shutters. The heights may need slight levelling. Please see pictures for condition details. The shutters have a lovely period appearance and would make a fantastic addition to the home.
