A very elegant, reclaimed, carved pine fire surround with marble slips. The fire surround is of a high quality and has an Adam style design with carved dentil moulding under the mantel. The cross bar has a large urn and acanthus leaves, typical of Adam style, and has flowers in the corners and bows running down the legs. The pine has been waxed and has a lovely colour, highlighting the attractive wood grain. The surround has 3 green marble slips that are designed to sit within the fire surround opening. The marble is very attractive with white veining. Please note the slips are not attached to the fire and each piece will need to be fitted to the wall, along with the surround, by a qualified fitter. The fire surround is in very good condition with some small signs of age and wear, as expected of reclaimed items. The pine has some small scratches, chips and marks. There are some scratches and small knocks to the mantel. The marble slips have some small chips to the edges and there are some small scratches. There are some stains from smoke residue on the marble slips that may improve with further cleaning. Please see pictures for condition details. The fire is of an ideal size and appearance for a living or dining room and will add fantastic character to a fireplace.
