CS0072 PAIR OF RECLAIMED VICTORIAN PAINTED PINE WINDOW SHUTTERS

SOLD

Code: CS0072

Dimensions:

W: 122cm (48")

A pair of reclaimed Victorian painted pine window shutters comprising of seven leaves, with three to sit on one side of the window and four on the other side. Each side is hinged together and the middle leaves are designed to fold back behind the outer leaves with the decorative beading. There is a rebated edge so the shutters sit nicely together when closed and they have a hook and eye catch. The shutters have been painted white and a light brown but there are some stains, knocks and chips and purchaser may wish to sand and re-paint them to suit. The shutters are reclaimed and therefore have some signs of wear and age. The pine has some knocks and slight damage, especially to the edges and corners. The hinge edges have some chips and unevenness. A piece of wood from the top of one shutter has broken away (it has been photographed with the piece put back in place but it will need to be repaired). There are some splits to the joins and some surface cracks to the wood. The heights may need slight levelling. Please see pictures for condition details. The shutters have a lovely period appearance and would make a fantastic addition to the home.
