CS0070 PAIR OF RECLAIMED VICTORIAN PAINTED PINE WINDOW SHUTTERS

SOLD

Code: CS0070

Dimensions:

W: 122.5cm (48.2")

A pair of reclaimed Victorian painted pine window shutters comprising of four leaves, with two leaves to sit on one side of the window and two on the other side. Each side is hinged together and the middle leaves are designed to fold back behind the outer leaves with the decorative beading. There is a rebated edge so the shutters sit nicely together when closed and the shutters have a hook and eye catch. The shutters have been painted with a white paint and light brown paint but there are some stains, knocks and chips and they will need to be sanded and re-painted by purchaser to suit. The shutters are reclaimed and therefore have some signs of wear and age. The pine has some knocks and slight damage, especially to the edges and corners. Some of the top corners have damage where they have sustained a knock and the wood is cracked or split. There are some further small surface cracks but the shutters are stable. There are some rough edges and nicks to the wood where hinges have been removed. The heights might need slight levelling. Please see pictures for condition details. The shutters have a lovely period appearance and would make a fantastic addition to the home.
