Dimensions:

A reclaimed, antique, traditional style cast iron bedroom combination fire likely to date to C.1900. The fire is well made and has a simple and attractive design with a shaped smoke hood featuring a thin circle border and larger circle at its base. The mantel edges have moulded detailing and the fire has a decorative ash pan cover with cut out design. The iron has been blacked and polished and has a lovely finish. The fire is in solid reclaimed condition but does have signs of age and some damage and therefore it is suited to decorative use. The fire has some casting marks, small knocks and scratches. The mantel has some knocks to the edges. The fire does not have any front bars and the fire grill has a missing bar. The concrete fire back has been fixed using a filler that is visible. There is a small crack under the mantel, on the left hand side, near the fixing lug but the fire is stable and solid. The back of the fire has surface rust, as expected. Please see pictures for condition details. The fire has an elegant and traditional appearance that would be ideal for a period home.
