A petite, reclaimed, reproduction cast iron fire back. The fire back is a reproduction of traditional, antique, designs and features a large urn in the centre with vines growing out of it, all of which are cast in relief. The fire back has an arched top. The fire back is perfect for pairing with a smaller fire basket or grate. The iron has been blacked and polished and has good quality finish. The fire back is solid and heavy but is reclaimed and therefore has some slight signs of use and wear. The iron has some small knocks, mainly to the edges and some casting marks. The back has surface rust as expected. Please see pictures for condition details. The fire back has a pretty design and it is a desirable item that would add charm to a fireplace.
