A reclaimed external Neo-Georgian oak door with 9 panels for glazing, dating to the 1930's. The door has an attractive appearance and is very heavy and well constructed with gunstock stiles. The door comprises of a recessed panel on each side, surrounded by decorative mouldings. The top of the door has nine panels ready for glazing. We can glaze the door for an extra charge, please contact us to discuss your requirements and for a quote. The door has been stripped and a wax or stain applied to the front face and the back face retains a white paint finish. The paint has some marks, chips and flaking and the door will need to be sanded and re-finished by purchaser to suit. The door is in good, solid condition but does have some signs of age and some slight damage, as expected of antique items. The door has some small holes and marks left from hardware removal. The top of the door has sustained some knocks and has some slight damage on both sides. There is some light damage to one of the glazing bars on the painted side. The panel has a slim oak patch repair strip in the centre. The door width may need slight levelling. Please see pictures for condition details. The door has a handsome and traditional appearance and is of a very nice quality. The door is a good example of design from the 1930's era and would be well suited to a period home.
