CS0075 A SET OF FOUR RECLAIMED VICTORIAN STRIPPED PINE CUPBOARD DOORS

SOLD

Code: CS0075

A set of four, reclaimed, Victorian stripped pine cupboard doors. The doors have a traditional design with two taller top doors over two slightly smaller bottom doors, all with recessed panels with decorative mouldings. The doors would be ideal for a butlers cupboard or kitchen unit. The doors are solid and well made and have a rebated edge so each pair sit nicely together. The doors have been stripped and they have an attractive wood grain. Please note: the doors have some residue dampness from stripping and they are therefore not suitable for painting. The doors have small brass butterfly catches and one of the doors has a bolt on the back face. The doors are reclaimed antiques and have some signs of wear and damage. The doors have some surface splits and cracks but the doors are solid and stable. One of the bottom doors has some damage from softness at the base. It may be best to cut the softness away and reduce the height of the bottom doors, please contact us if you need any advice about this. There are some scuffs and scratches to the pine and some stains and marks, especially to the back face. The brass door hardware and hinges have some slight tarnish and the bolt has some surface rust. There are some small holes and marks where hardware has been removed. The bottom doors are very slightly less wide (overall) than the top doors.  A set of versatile and well made antique cupboard doors with an appearance that would be ideally suited to a period home.
