A reclaimed external oak door with 9 panels for glazing, likely to date to the early 1900s. The door has an attractive appearance and is very heavy and well constructed with mortise and tenon joints. The door comprises of two recessed panels on each side, surrounded by mouldings. The top of the door has nine panels that are currently glazed with wired safety glass. If you would prefer, we can re-glaze the door for an extra charge, please contact us to discuss your requirements and for a quote. The door has a wax, varnish or stain applied but there are some scratches and marks and purchaser may prefer to sand and refinish the door to suit. The door is in good, solid condition but does have some signs of age and some slight damage, as expected of antique items. The door has some holes and marks left from hardware removal and some further smaller holes. The lock edge of the door has some damage. We can patch repair the larger holes and the damage to the lock edge for an extra charge, please contact us for details and a quote. One panel has had a very high quality repair but there is a slight colour difference in the oak. The base edge has some small knocks. The oak has some scratches and knocks. Some of the glazing beads have been replaced with pine glazing beads and stained. Some of the glazing beads have cracks, splits and small holes. We can replace the pine glazing beads with oak glazing beads and the damaged beads for an extra charge if required.
