A rustic, original, reclaimed antique cottage front door. The door comprises of an oak plank external face that has been attached to a painted pine back. The combination of oak and pine was often used in the early 1900's and the door is solid and well made, with the pine back having ledge and brace detail. The door has a rustic cottage style and has a small panel that is glazed with patterned etched glass that is covered with a Gothic style cage on the front face. The front of the door has traditional iron studs. The oak face has had a wood stain or varnish finish but it is faded with some marks and discolouration and purchaser may wish to sand and re-finish the door to suit. The internal face of the door has a white painted finish. The door is in good antique condition with some signs of age, as expected. There are some holes and marks where door hardware has been removed. Please note the door has hinge recesses on both sides. The door has some patch repairs. We can patch repair existing hardware holes and hinge recesses for an extra charge. Please contact us for details and a quote. There are some knocks and chips to the edges and corners. The front face of the door has some scratches, marks and some discolouration. The pins holding the glazing bead will need securing further. The cage and studs have some tarnish and slight surface rust. Please see pictures for condition details. The door has a lovely, traditional, cottage appearance and would be ideal for a period country home.
