M1597 A SET OF RECLAIMED CARRARA MARBLE SLIPS FOR FIRE SURROUND

A set of three reclaimed Carrara marble fire surround slips. The slips are designed to sit within the opening of a wooden fire surround, one on each side and one below the crossbar, at the top of the surround. The surround would need to have a recessed inner edge that allows the slips to be fitted. Please contact us if you need advice about how to use the marble slips. The Carrara marble has a good white colour with some grey and are of an elegant size. The slips are reclaimed and have some signs of age, as expected. The marble has some knocks and chips. There is a small crack and knock to the centre of the crossbar edge and some pitting and unevenness. There are some edges with residue paint or filler. There are some stains, scratches and marks and the back of the slips have smoke marks and residue concrete that leaves an uneven surface. Please see pictures for condition details. The marble slips are of a good quality and would add elegance and style to a surround.
