A reclaimed, late Victorian, painted pine glazed door. The old school door is very well made, solid and heavy, with mortise and tenon joints. The base of the door has two recessed panels with decorative beading. The top of the door has 9 glazed panels. The panels are currently glazed with wire safety glass. We can re-glaze the doors with clear or patterned toughened glass for an extra charge, please contact us for details and a quote. Please note if the glass is changed by purchaser it must meet current safety standards. The door is painted dark blue but the paint has marks, stains, and chips and purchaser may wish to sand and re-paint the door to suit. The door has been used internally but could be converted for external use. The door is in solid condition with some signs of use and damage, as expected of reclaimed items. The door has some marks, knocks, chips and wear, especially to the edges and corners. There are some holes, marks and paint missing where door hardware has been removed. One of the glazing beads has sustained a knock. The glazing beads without raised detailing, on one face, have some knocks and splits. Please see pictures for condition details. The door has a nice appearance and is well made and would make a lovely period addition to a home.
