FS0195 A LARGE RECLAIMED ART NOUVEAU CAST IRON FIRE SURROUND

Dimensions:

A reclaimed, Art Nouveau, cast iron fire surround. The surround has a traditional and classic appearance with a wreath and swag design on the cross bar. The opening has a decorative border surrounding it. The surround has been blacked and polished and has a good finish. The fire surround has a model number and RD dating number that is hard to read but we believe it to be RD 474676, dating the fire to 1906. The surround is ideal for pairing with a fire basket or wood burner. The fire surround is in good antique condition with some signs of age and wear. There are some knocks, chips, pitting and casting marks. The back has surface rust, as expected. Please see pictures for condition details. The fire surround has a lovely appearance that would suit both period and modern properties and would add great character to a fire place.
