£295.00

Code: DB0717

Dimensions:

W: 92cm (36.2")H: 203.4cm (80.1")D: 5cm (2")

A wide and very heavy reclaimed pine door with glazed panels. The door is likely to date to the early 20th century and is solid and well made, with mortise and tenon joints. The door has a traditional appearance with two flush panels at the base and 6 panels that have been fitted with wired glass. The glass is old and is unlikely to meet current safety standards. Purchaser must check to see if glass meets regulations and MUST change the glass if it does not. We can quote to re-glaze the door for an extra charge, please contact us to discuss your requirements and for a quote. The door has been painted but the paint has chips, stains and marks and purchaser may wish to sand and re-finish the door to suit. The door retains a metal kick plate on one side that purchaser could remove and a small ring that would have been for a hook. Please note: The door has a lock but no key. The door has been used internally but it could be converted for external use. The door is in good reclaimed condition with some signs of age and wear, as expected. The door has some knocks and chips, mainly to the edges and corners. The base edge has some splintering and knocks and some small holes where a draft excluder was fitted (a small amount remains). The door has a hole from hardware removal, that has been filled with foam or putty. The hinges have surface rust and paint residue. The door height may need slight levelling. Please see pictures for condition details. The door is substantial and handsome and would suit both period and modern properties, making it a desirable item for the home.
