CS0083 A FANTASTIC PAIR OF VICTORIAN STRIPPED PINE WINDOW SHUTTERS

A pair of reclaimed, original, stripped pine Victorian shutters. The shutters comprise of 4 leaves, 2 on each side, that are hinged so one leaf can fold back behind the other. Each shutter has recessed panels, with one leaf with plain recessed panels that fold back behind the outer leaf with panels with decorative beading. The shutters retain the original large metal stay bar and receiver for the bar to fit into. The shutters have been stripped and a wax finish applied giving them a very nice appearance. One shutter has a small hole where a pull handle would have been. The shutters are in good antique condition with some character signs of age and wear. There are some small splinters and knocks and there are some small surface splits. The back of the shutters do have some light damage to a base corner. There is some light colour variation. The metal stay bar, receiver and hinges have some light tarnish. There are some wood knots, one of which has left a small gap at the top of one shutter, under the top bead. The shutter heights may need slight levelling. Please see pictures for condition details. The shutters have a fantastic look, are well finished and are ideal for adding character to a window.
