A slim reclaimed, internal, stripped pine Cardiff door. The antique door is likely to date to C.1890-1900 and has an elegant design with two recessed panels at the base with mouldings. The top of the door has two central panels, surrounded by rectangular and square border panels for glazing. The door could perhaps be glazed with stained or etched glass to recreate the traditional appearance of Cardiff doors. We may be able to glaze the door for an extra charge, please contact us to discuss your requirements and to discuss a quote. The pine has been stripped but it does have stains and marks and purchaser may wish to re-sand and finish the door to suit. Please note, the door may not be suited to painting if it has been stripped in a strip tank previously. The door is in solid condition but is rustic and has signs of its age. There are several holes from hardware removal and some larger holes have been patch repaired, including on the lock edge. One panel has a surface split and there are several knocks and chips, especially to the door edges. The door sides have some cut marks and there are some surface cracks to the door base. The door has been cut down in size at some point and the base edge will need some levelling. Please see pictures for condition details. The door is of a nice size for internal use and is of a pretty and elegant design. Once glazed and finished, the door will make a nice period feature in a home.
