M1645 A RECLAIMED ANTIQUE MARBLE TOPPED WOODEN WASHSTAND/ CABINET

Dimensions:

A pretty, reclaimed, marble topped washstand likely to date to the early 20th Century. The washstand base comprises of mixed woods, including oak. The base has a long top drawer, two smaller drawers below and a cupboard door. The drawers have reeded detailing and carved wooden handles with a leaf design. The wood has been stained or varnished and has a nice finish. The wooden base is topped with elegant cream marble with darker colouration throughout. The top is not attached to the base, making it easier for transportation. The washstand is in good solid condition with some signs of wear and age, as expected of antique items. The back edge of the marble top has an indentation and dark mark perhaps left by a mirror. One drawer has some slight damage to the left inner edge. There are some knocks and chips to the wood, some scratches and surface splits. The wood has some slight stains and there is some discolouration to the inside of the drawers. Please see pictures for condition details. The washstand has a charming period appearance and could be ideal for use as a bedside cabinet or bathroom cabinet, adding charm and character to a room.
