A handsome, reclaimed, stripped pine internal or external door likely to date to the late Victorian period. The door is very large and well made, with mortise and tenon joints, and has an interesting appearance. The front face of the door has four recessed panels with bolection moulding. The back face of the door has Gothic detailing with chamfered panel edges. The wood has been stripped some time ago but there are now stains, dark marks and discolouration and purchaser may wish to re-sand and finish the door to suit, perhaps with a wax or stain. The door has been used internally but it is thick and heavy and could be converted for exterior use. The door is in solid condition with some signs of age, as expected of reclaimed antiques. The door has some knocks, chips and surface splits. The base of the door has some knocks and splintering to one corner. There are some holes and marks left from hardware removal. We can patch repair larger hardware holes for an extra charge, please contact us for details and a quote. The door has had some filler added to wood knot holes. Please see pictures for details. The door is of a very good size and has a very nice design, making it a fantastic period item for the home.
