M1678 TWO PRETTY RECLAIMED ART NOUVEAU FIRE TILE PANELS

A pair of large, original, reclaimed Art Nouveau fire tile panels. The decorative tiles have been set into thick concrete slabs and were originally positioned on the inner sides of a fire surround, at an angle . Each tile panel has the same pattern with a beautiful design in blue featuring designs in the Adam Style with swags, bows and wreaths. The decorative blue pattern is surrounded by plain off-white tiles. The tile panels could be installed on either side of a fire surround opening or could be repurposed and used as a decorative feature. The tile panels are in solid condition with some signs of age and wear, as expected of reclaimed antiques. The tile glaze has cracking and crazing and there are some cracks in the paintwork. The sides have some smoke residue marks. One panel has a tile missing at the base. There are some chips and knocks to the tiles, mainly at the base and edges. Please see pictures for condition details. The tile panels have a very fine design and are ideal for use in a home project.
